Greyhound in the art

$ "I remember the first time that I walked my very first adopted greyhound, Elliot, on Fifth Avenue.
A woman in a very extravagant fur coat came up and said, 'What a beautiful dog. So thin, so elegant $
(Gary Tinterow)

Tanto da sedurre uomini come D'Annunzio, Marinetti, Man Ray.

The painting by Giovanni Boldini, portraying in 1908 the Marquis Luisa Casati dressed in purple has become an iconic image all over the world.
The painting is amazing for sure, also because the eccentric and charming heiress was gifted with a strong personality. Famous names to fall under her spell: D'Annunzio, Marinetti and Man Ray.
The greyhound enters the artistic and social imaginary and became fashion when Trussardi use them as symbol of his maison. The one in the pictures is Joy. In less than a second she bit and ripped off my feather fan.
She is either to young to appreciate fashion or to wise to see the volatility of it.
